The Nanny Placement Process

A1 Tiny Tot’s Nanny & Sitting Services has been providing superior childcare for families since 1965. That does not just happen, it takes determination, strength of character, and earnest caring. These are the reasons why you come to us.

We will match your family to some of the best available nannies in the area, as we have done for so many families through the decades, and even through the generations. We can provide live-in, or live-out, full time, part-time, or short-term nannies.

Our children are very precious, needing our fondest priority, and deepest nurturing. They are truly extensions of our love. That is why you want childcare that you can trust and depend on.

How does it work?

Before we come to visit, we will need your family history and the description of the nanny’s duties.

An A1 Tiny Tot’s representative will come to your home to interview the family personally. This is the best way for us to design and customize the set of requirements for the kind of services that your family needs. We do all the legwork for you. Once your requirements are determined, we set upon the thorough process of finding that special nanny for your family.

Our nannies are qualified, CPR and First Aid certified. We perform background, reference, and compatibility checks.

When we believe that we have found the right candidate for your family, an A1 Tiny Tot’s representative will accompany the prospective nanny to your home. This visit will give you and your family the chance to talk to and interview the candidate. In this manner, you will be able to make the right decision with confidence.

Once you have chosen your nanny, the placement fee agreement should be signed and paid at this time. Some nannies are available immediately. However, other nannies, who are completing an assignment, may need to give a two-week notice.

A1 Tiny Tot’s Nanny & Sitting Services makes every effort to match a nanny to your family. Our clients are under no obligation to select a nanny from our service. This is one reason why A1 Tiny Tot’s Nanny & Sitting Services can not guarantee placement.

Please note that a placement fee will be due only if you decide to employ one of our referred candidates.

A placement fee is due no later than the business day prior to your nanny’s start date. Most full time and part-time nannies commit to their placements for at least one year. Temporary nannies commit to their placements for a period time which has been previously determined by the agency, or the family.

Our full time and part-time nanny placement fee is $1,500 (a one-year placement is assumed). Our seasonal and temporary nanny placement fee is $400.

Please note that all salaries are negotiable. The salaries for full-time nannies average $450 to $600 per week. Salaries for part-time nannies average $20 to $25 per hour.

The family becomes the nanny’s employer and is therefore responsible for salary and payroll taxes. If requested, A1 Tiny Tot’s can refer families to payroll services.
